Donation Drop-Off: PPE, Food, and School Supplies, and Pet Supplies

Greene County Public Health is asking for donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) from businesses throughout Greene County to help keep our healthcare personnel and patients healthy and safe throughout the COVID-19 response!

They are asking for donations of the following items:

  • N95 masks
  • Surgical masks
  • Disinfecting wipes
  • Isolation gowns
  • Eye protection
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Nitrile gloves
  • Face shields

Crayons to Classrooms is also in need of NEW school supplies to be distributed to local children in need who are temporarily schooling at home. All supplies are welcome but the most needed are:

  • Crayons (24 ct.)
  • Colored pencils
  • Filler paper
  • Notebooks
  • Pocket folders
  • Construction paper
  • Facial tissue
  • Pencils
  • Glue sticks
  • Rulers
  • Markers (10 ct.)
  • Scissors

 

House of Bread, a community kitchen serving nutritious lunchtime meals to anyone in need, is asking for donations of unopened nonperishable food. Some items that they need most are:

  • Creamed soups for cooking
  • Kid friendly foods such as chicken noodle soup, mac and cheese, spaghettiOs, fruit cups, raisin boxes, goldfish crackers
  • Pasta and sauce
  • Canned or bagged beans

 

The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is asking for donations of new, unopened cat and dog supplies to help the animals they are caring for during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the items they are requesting are:

  • Cat/Dog food
  • Toys
  • Leashes
  • Beds
  • Treats
  • Shampoo
